ix35 excels for RVs in competitive C-SUV segment

The ix35, Hyundai’s striking new C-SUV challenger, is expected to hold on to an impressive percentage of its list price when it reaches three years old, according to EurotaxGlass’s. New analysis, provided by the independent automotive intelligence agency, predicts that after three years and 90.000km the ix35 will retain up to 62% of its original price in Europe – a figure significantly higher than key rivals in the segment.

The analysis of prospects for ix35 in six European countries revealed that the newcomer will retain 58,1% of its original value in Germany, Europe’s largest car market, outperforming C-SUV segment leaders Toyota RAV4 (44,7%), Nissan Qashqai (50,5%), and Volkswagen Tiguan (55,6%).

The result in Germany is mirrored in Austria, Belgium, and Switzerland, where ix35 also registers better residual values than its Japanese and European counterparts. The Hyundai also competes well elsewhere in Europe, including Spain and the Czech Republic, home to Hyundai’s first European manufacturing facility.
